Teamwork is the best work-like if you don't have an idea, your friend will think about the idea! It could be a perfect idea! Two is better than one so it could be even better. So you will get an A+ (meaning the score is the best score). If you have good teamwork you get more friendships too! If you are a partner with someone and that partner is not your friend than it is the best chance! Because you might make friends with him! So the best thing is the teamwork.
Friendship is the best because they can help me or I can help them. Helping each other is the best.If we have a very big problem they can help us.Like if I am sick my friends might be doctors and could help me so that that is how friendship works. It will carry on until we pass away. Never ever forget friendship is the most important thing in the world and on earth.
The students applied some of the descriptive language they have been exploring in both Homeroom and our ESL class and wrote some descriptions or poems about mystery objects, places or animals. Can you guess any of these?

The body is as small as a mouse.
Most of the time it flies with the wind and its family.
Its songs are whispers.
It has two small wings, two legs and a brown body.

I think it first was made in Nigata. In Nigata lived the little brother Tokugawa and he ate yummy food. He told his brother and it was Tokugawa's favourite food so people say Tokugawa made this food first.

I will talk about dreams and ambitions. Some of us don't know what to do when they grow up. But some of us wanted to be writers, great scientists, astronauts and business men and I want to be an ice skater. Our teacher wanted to travel all around the world when she was young.
Now I will explain why did they want to get those jobs. First Hina wants to be a writer because she enjoys reading books. Koharu wants to be a scientist because she likes porcupines. Azusa wants to be an astronaut because she likes space. Also she wants to travel all around space. Yutaro wants to be a business man because he wants to earn a lot of money. Also he wants to be normal. Finally I want to be an ice figure skater because when I saw a Korean figure skater in the Olympics I thought it was wonderful acting. Also when I'm on the ice rink it feels so good. Our teacher Ms.Sophie wanted to travel all around the world when she was young and live in at least five different cities, because she just wanted to see the world.
I think we all have and had amazing dreams.
We are exploring this statement to see if we can identify how the words change and if there is a rule or pattern that can help us.
We came up with a list of VERBS- the action that is happening.
For example: run, learn, jump, read, play.
We came up with a list of SUBJECTS- who or what does the action (these are NOUNS or PRONOUNS).
For example: I, You, He, She, It, We, They, the cat, the table, Peter, Singapore.
Language can describe many different things
We will be inquiring into this idea over the next few weeks. Our focus will be on improving our descriptions through word choice and the structure of our sentences.
The students will be exploring poetry and narrative.
As part of our Tuning In, we drew simple pictures. Next, we described them to our partners who then tried to draw them. Lastly, we saw if they matched. This helped us become more specific in our descriptions.
