What you can do at home to help improve your English
There are many things you can do at home to help you with your English. Here are some ideas:
Read Reading alone, reading to someone, being read to, listening to audio books. All of these will develop your vocabulary and understanding of English and if you choose the right book, it is fun!
Watch Watching TV and films, with subtitles is another way to develop your English. You can watch films you have already seen in your home language or new films with subtitles.
Play Playing games in English is a fun way to practise your speaking and listening and target.
Sing Singing songs in English can help with vocabulary and rhyme.
Do Doing a range of extra-curricular activities in English, for example play-dates with English speakers, joining groups/teams/classes -sports, art, music etc..
Relax Learning a new language is challenging and takes time. Mistakes are normal. The more relaxed you feel, the more confident you will be to try and speak. The more you speak, the more you will learn.
